DEEP+SPACE-MAKING

Making Space for Change

With transformative change, we believe our work in planning, urban design, and spatial planning should initiate conversation through exploration of the existing and evolving communities, cities, and spaces.

Our integrative visions and strategies serve as catalysts for a desired urban change.

The way we make spaces not only contributes to the success of site-specific developments, but also allows us to bring together diverse voices and sectors early in the process, enabling more adaptive, resilient, and liveable places.

By experimenting and continuously pushing the boundaries of design and planning, the DEEP space-making practice is shaped by the following tenets:

  • Integrative and collaborative process
  • Interdisciplinary, multi-scale and future-oriented visioning
  • Contextual data-driven design

Integrative & Collaborative Process

Working Across Disciplines to Shape Context-Driven Solutions

To design places that are respectful to community needs, we seek to use context-specific approaches that explore the past and enhance the future.

Hence, the incorporation of an Integrated Approach, combining the focus on the built form, transportation and mobility, as well as environmental and public realm aspects as a framework for both policy analysis and design, is at the core of DEEP+’s methodology.

This allows us to operate proactively in providing informed and well-coordinated design solutions for the complex demands of the planning and development process and will enhance the means by which this project is delivered.

Furthermore, our collective has over 12 years of successful experience in working within multidisciplinary teams, both internally and with the involvement of chosen consultant networks.

Interdisciplinary, Multi-Scale & Future-Oriented Visioning

From Buildings to Cities; Designing with the Long View in Mind

From the singular building to the neighbourhood and city scales, DEEP+ treats each project as part of an urban ecosystem. Working at multiple scales allows us to apply specific research and design strategies for a feasible, coherent, and flexible framework.

By implementing an interdisciplinary approach to envisioning a long-term socio-spatial change, we can systematically coordinate the implementation of a collaborative future vision.

We achieve this by means of intersecting spatial planning, urban design, and architectural design.

Contextual Data-Driven Design

Insight-Driven. Context-Aware. Future-Ready.

In the age of technological advancement and progression to push for a sustainable future, DEEP+ aspires to incorporate the use of computational tools to support research and integrated spatial planning analysis to inform and explore the possibilities of design.

By quantifying the qualitative aspects of our work, speculative analysis can further be supported by visual factual data proving not only the efficiency of design at a multitude of scales, but improve efficiency in workflow and create better informed collaborations between clients, designers, consultants, and stakeholders.

As DEEP+’s goal is to build sustainable and resilient communities, the use of computational tools can inform conversations to ensure that developments are efficient, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of existing and future communities.

We are an intersidciplinary team aiming to transform spaces that enrich lives and reimagine a resilient and regenerative future to nurture growing communities.

With our diverse toolkit and embracing the advancement in technology, the integration of our collective’s approaches allow for a DEEP design that trascends the conventional boundaries.
